OUR CHARTERS
As part of our 21/22 plan, we wanted all children to explore how the RRS could impact on our behaviour and attitudes in school. We have explored the articles in assemblies.
During the Y5 and Y6 PSHE Conferences, children voted on the articles that that thought would impact most on behaviour and attitudes in school.
The children in Y5/6 identified 5 articles that they wanted to promote across school. A Y5/6 Class Charter was agreed and displayed and other years followed with their own, consistently using the same articles to reinforce messages about behaviour across school. Younger children have fewer articles on their charters.
The impact of this has been that the rights of the child are visible all over school. Staff have found this useful when talking to the children about their behaviour, especially when it comes to their responsibility to respect the rights of other children in school.
