PUPIL LEADERSHIP TEAMS
Our Pupil Leadership Scheme is well-established and a much-valued part of school life at PCP.
As the children move up through school, they are given increased responsibility. T-shirts help to identify our eager volunteers! These children are an important part of our school and will always gain the opinions of other children that they will then share with adults.
-
In the EYFS, children are asked to manage their own belongings and tidy areas.
-
We have grown Reading Champions from N to Y6, they are responsible for choosing stories or sharing their favourites.
-
In Y3, we ask for applications for Pupil Safeguards.
-
In Y5 we appoint Digi Leaders who support the computer hubs at lunchtime and also help teachers with any issues.
-
In Y5, we have Librarians and Reading Buddies, who read with younger children to develop their confidence.
-
In Y6, we have Sports Leaders who organise games with younger children at lunchtimes.
-
In Y6 we have the House Teams who lead their House in making the right behaviour choices and help adults with important tasks around school.
-
And of course, we have an elected group of Rights Respecting Pupil Leaders who meet every half-term to make decisions and ask questions, helping to shape the future of our school.
Each post has a job description and application process.
